Description
Written In Roses is a stunning 16.2hh, 4yo mare by Champion Victorian sire Written Tycoon. A $250,000 Inglis Melbourne Premier graduate, she is a beautiful type who has been given the time to mature. At peak fitness, she weighs in at 565kgs and is being offered by her owners as a racing or breeding prospect.
Written In Roses has had just the one start for a third over 1000m. She has been put out to spell this week as a result of 2/5 lameness which has been identified to be affecting her near fore knee. As per the attached veterinary report, it has been suggested that she have 12 weeks rest in conjunction with an IRAP to assist in her recovery.
Being lightly trialled and raced she has every opportunity to break her maiden and move up through the grades. If this mare were to race on, she can flourish with the right care, but will require ongoing joint maintenance and need to be kept light.
As a breeding prospect, Written In Roses is out of the Cape Cross mare Dubai Me Roses who is a half-sister to Listed winner Navy Shaker as well as Qantum Leap, who is the dam of G3 winner Outlandish Lad and Listed winner He’sfantastic. She is a big, strong mare with plenty of room who would suit a number of stallions.
In the mould of her sire, Written In Roses is well muscled, has a strong hind quarter and shoulder, a deep girth and a gorgeous head with a kind eye. She is easy to shoe, float, ride and is lovely to handle around the stables and is accustomed to both the treadmill and swimming pool.
