Description
This colt is the first foal for the winning Foxwedge mare Foxy Queen, who is a half-sister to BELLEVUE HILL – a Group Three winning juvenile, and to Bellevue Star – who was 4th in the Listed Woodlands Stakes last season at two for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.
This is a fast, precocious family, and this colt too looks like an early two-year-old type. He has good strength and scope. His sire WINNING RUPERT was unbeaten at two, winning the Group Two BRC Champagne Classic (1200m) on just his second start and he trained on at three to win the Listed BRC Gold Edition Plate (1200m).
The first crop yearlings by Winning Rupert in 2020 sold to $425,000, averaged over $81,500, and were purchased by leading agents and trainers including Team Hawkes, James Harron, Ciaron Maher, Bjorn Baker, Laurel Oak, Mick Price, and John Foote.
