Optimizzer is a lightly raced 4yo son of Not A Single Doubt out of the Zabeel mare Twizzler.
He is a winner and twice placed from 13 starts and has shown he is capable of winning more races (Rating 55 VIC). He tends to settle back in the field and as such has found more bad luck in running then he deserves. His first-up run this preparation was a very good effort, settling 10 lengths last at the top of the straight before running on very strongly late to finish 2nd (video replay attached). His second-up run he got too far back in a leader dominated race yet still found the line well. His 3rd up run over 1400m he was even in another race where the leaders dictated with the feedback suggesting he will be better suited with blinkers applied. His 4th run yesterday at Kyneton he improved noticeably with the blinkers and back in distance to run a solid 2nd.
Being sold to dissolve the ownership group after majority decision has been made to sell. He looks to have reached his level here in Victoria however when he puts his best foot forward, he has a good turn of foot and his best form suggests he’s very capable at BM58 – Class 1 grade at this stage around 1000 to 1200m distance range.
He’s a sound racehorse with plenty of racing left in him and is capable on all sorts of going.
