COMBAT LEGEND carries a nice early positive test to GINGERBREAD MAN, one of the most commercial stallions in WA. This son of SHAMARDAL has certainly gained momentum in the past twelve months with the likes of IMA SINGLE MAN winning the Karrakatta Plate (before being transferred to Hong Kong to race) as well as RED CAN MAN and ESSENTIAL SPICE both winning at black type level and contesting Group 1 races during the Ascot Summer Carnival.
The foal at foot alongside COMBAT LEGEND is a daughter of BRADBURY'S LUCK. This September filly has plenty going for her and it's fair to say the progeny of this sire have a great affinity with WA racing. LUCKYGRAY by BRADBURY'S LUCK was good enough to win THREE Group 1 races at the famous Ascot track! Has that ever been achieved before........LUCKYGRAY won two Railway Stakes which included carrying an amazing 58kg to victory (he ran second in the Railway Stakes too) plus a further win in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (plus a second in the race also). FIRE UP FIFI is a well performed daughter of BRADBURY'S LUCK who ran third in a Railway Stakes here in the west too (ironically behind Luckygray the day he carried 58kg to victory!)
