Description
Stunning mare by Sebring, “ Bring Me Showers” a $160,000 syndication purchase from Magic Millions has been extremely unlucky not to have gone on with it yet.
I’ve only had this mare a short time, first start was over 1200mtrs and was far too short and used as a trial, she got back and came home running nice splits on a very unsuitable heavy 9. She didn’t quite back up at the Gold Coast over 1400mtrs 2 weeks later, again, got back almost 15 lengths and 5 wide.
As her past form reads when at a mile and race fit, she puts in and 3rd up did; placed at a very unsuitable Gatton where she was ridden against her pattern on a tight turning, fast running track that has a clear leader bias. She was kept on the rails and denied runs multiple times and once given her space, balanced up out wide and stormed home running sharp sectionals to run 2nd against a prominent Toowoomba trainers last start winner who lines up for 3/3 this weekend.
This mare has now been in work for over 15 months straight between the last two trainers and is screaming out for a break, give her 3-5 months in the paddock, let her put her head down and she will come back in rejuvenated and ready to go.
I’m an owner trainer; I work 1/2 at any time and hold a full time foreman role in a very large stable; I have very limited time and the owners I do have want to be racing and not paying spelling bills; this mares preparation has come to an end, she’s feeling her feet, getting very moody and clearly deserves a break and considering the length of time in the stable over the last year and a half I think she is due one. Due to my model unfortunately I benefit more from moving her on and bringing another into the stable that’s ready to go.
Swims Well, Floats/Trucks, Good for the Farrier, She’s a no fuss mare to have in the stable; Never not licked the feed tin and retains weight and condition well.
Race or Breed, have a look at her page and the family, she’s built like all very good broodmares and if I had the time and the patience she would be my first candidate to put in foal. She’s going to turn out some nice foals.
Declarations
* I was told by the previous trainer that after her 4th start as a 2 & 3yr old she had a tendon surgery on the R/F
; The main cause being a Minor Club foot (Very Minor and has been controlled with standard pads under shoes as listed in gear), this never appeared to be an issue with the last trainer as she was given plenty of time in the paddock and their was a positive post surgery report. I personally had this Tendon scanned when the mare started work in my stable as a precaution and there were No Significant Findings at the surgical site to note.
* Fetlocks have been injected once (1) solely for maintenance when in my care using cortisone and the mare produced a very good run post this procedure.

* A scope report; This mare is very clean winded and scoped well in full work after a 6n3 2nd Lap Gallop; I have not scoped since due to how satisfactory the scope was.
* A Examination Report; A routine trot up examination of the mare was performed post her last run and again 1 day prior to sale.
