Yearling colt by Preferment x Yulong Venus (Bernardini)
Unreserved sale of yearling colt by Preferment from a Bernardini mare.
Lovely, well made, strong colt by former top racehorse now New Zealand sire Preferment. Preferment was 4 time Group 1 winner by Zabeel who won in excess of $3.4 million on the race track. His successes included the Group 1 VRC Derby, Group 1 ATC BMW Stakes, Group 1 VRC Australian Cup and the Group 1 VRC Turnbull Stakes. His first yearlings were well received in 2020 and many of those buyers from the first crop have backed up purchasing more in 2021.
This colt is from the family of Group 1 winner Wild Iris and also closely related to Zanbagh, the winner of the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes twice and over $1.2 million in prizemoney. This is also the family of group winners Fiancee, Zip Me Up and So Swift.
The colt is strong, mature and ready to head to the breakers. He has plenty of leg to him and looks like a horse that will handle the work served to him. He is approximately 16hh and 540kgs.
