Description
This Cracking Colt is the Half-brother to the Gr.1 performed 2YO CORSAGE, now dam of Gr.2 winning 2YO AOTEA LAD.
This neat, strongly made colt is out of the highly successful mare – SPRAY – who has produced 9 progeny to race – ALL Winners - including stakes performed 2YO’s MISS THORN and CORSAGE, who was equal second 2YO top filly in NZ and ran third in the Gr.1 Diamond Stakes.
CORSAGE is the dam of AOTEA LAD, winner of the 2YO Gr.2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes, running 2nd in the Karaka 2YO Million Classic to PROBABEEL and 3rd in the Hawkes Bay Guineas beaten by CATALYST and CALLSIGN MAV. It is an outstanding CV and highly competitive family.
This colt is by ENCOSTA DE LAGO’s outstanding looking, Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes winning 3YO VANBRUGH. He has a lovely walk, with an enormous overstep, great depth to his barrel, with strong shoulders, forearms and a well-developed gaskin and hind quarter to round out the package. No doubt this guy can run.
