Description
This September-born filly is from the second crop of Snitzel’s smart sprinter Thronum, who covered 122 mares in his first season at stud.
A winner on debut at two, Thronum won the Listed Rosebud Handicap (1200m) at three and won the Group Two Australia Stakes (1200m) at four, having also placed 2nd in the Group One William Reid Stakes behind Hellbent, and beating Catchy.
Out of the winning Nicconi mare Speak Softly, who is a full-sister to dual-Group Three winning sprinter Hear The Chant, this filly has been bred on an extremely successful cross. Speak Softly’s broodmare sire More Than Ready nicks extremely well with Snitzel, with this combination producing over 13% Stakes horses to runners.
This filly is bred on a very similar pedigree pattern to the Group-winning fillies Thyme For Roses, The Elanora, Very Tempting, Dark Choice, Exhilarates and Celebrity Queen.
Speak Softly has a yearling colt by Rubick and is in-foal to Pride of Dubai. A family with plenty of upside, Speak Softly’s dam and siblings have progeny by leading sires such as Zoustar, Justify, Written Tycoon, Not A Single Doubt and Vancouver to run for them.
