Description
ELECTRON is a winning mare by the Group 1 winning sire DENMAN, the son of Champion Racehorse and Sire LONHRO. Denman showed his toughness and durability when winning six races in succession at the end of his 2yo season and the beginning of his 3yo season. He was the victor in the Group 3 Run to the Rose and backed that up with his victory in the Group 1 Golden Rose, a race won by fellow sires ZOUSTAR, HALLOWED CROWN, EXOSPHERE etc. From only a limited number of runners as broodmare sire, he already has 11 winners to his name.
Electron is out of the winning REDOUTE’S CHOICE mare ELECTRIC CURRENT. Electric Current is a three-quarter sister to the dam of this season’s exciting juvenile ANAMOE ($1,041,575) and is from the family of multiple Group 1 winner GRAND ARMEE ($5,328,065).
Electron has so far produced two foals, a strong, correct yearling colt by RUBICK, the sire of Everest winner YES YES YES, who is catalogued for the upcoming Melbourne Gold Yearling Sale and a very nice filly foal by GRUNT (NZ) that is being retained by her breeders. Grunt was a winner of the Group 1 Australian Guineas as a 3yo before returning as a 4yo and winning the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes. His oldest progeny are weanlings.
Electron was again covered by Grunt in 2020 and has been scanned in foal.
