Description
COURTLEE STAR is a stunning 3yo brown filly by superstar stallion ZOUSTAR. A $150,000 Magic Millions graduate, purchased from elite farm Kia Ora Stud, NSW.
She is a beautiful type who has an incredible, loose walk and has been given the time to mature. At peak fitness, she weighs in at 481kgs and is being offered by her owners as a racing or broodmare prospect for the upcoming breeding season.
COURTLEE STAR has had just the one start over 1500m, so being lightly trialled and raced she has every opportunity to break her maiden and move up through the grades. If this filly were to race on, she would suit a smaller stable who could provide some one-on-one attention with a focus on country meetings.
As a breeding prospect, COURTLEE STAR hails from a speed family and is out of the ROCK OF GIBRALTAR mare JUGGLES. JUGGLES is a half-sister to four stakes-winners including SUPPLY AND DEMAND, SPACECRAFT, PHENOMENONS and G2 winner WASHINGTON HEIGHTS.
The family also includes the stakes winners WINGED PRAYER, VICTORY DASH, MASTERKOVA and CHIEF SEQUOYAH. She is a big, strong mare with plenty of room who would suit a number of stallions.
In the mould of her sire, COURTLEE STAR is well muscled, has a strong hind quarter and shoulder, a deep girth and a gorgeous head with a kind eye. She is easy to shoe, float, ride and is lovely to handle around the stables and is accustomed to both the treadmill and swimming pool. She is currently in full work at Angaston, SA. She is currently sound, with no issues.
