Dubious was the fastest ever winner of the Gr3 Breeders Plate, faster than Capitalist, Pierro, Sebring & Snitzel, and he stood his first season at Aquis Qld where he covered a book of 162 high quality mares, including this mare. He is by the same sire as 2020 Golden Slipper winner Farnan, and he was one of the elite race horses of his age group, running 2nd in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, just like his sire.
Dubious was a tough, sound 2YO, that rounded out his 7-start 2YO career, with a dominant length and a quarter victory in the Gr2 Champagne Classic at Doomben, and then had the audacity to run triple Gr1 winner The Bostonian, to a length and a half in the Gr1 Kingsford-Smith Cup-as a 2YO!
