Lightning Liv is a lovely mare by quality stallion Holy Roman Emperor, sire of nearly 100 stakes winners world wide. Retired unraced after training with the Maher/Eustace stable, she was sent to Rosemont first season stallion STRASBOURG, a son of I Am Invincible. A dominant pre-Christmas winning 2yo and subsequent 2yo Group 2 winner, Strasbourg was a $750,000 yearling and proved exceptionally popular in his first year at stud covering well over 100 mares. His progeny are sure to be in demand at weanling and yearling sales after they arrive later this year.
Lightning Liv boasts an outstanding European pedigree, being out of a half sister to a 2yo French Group 1 winner in MORANDI. Further back the pedigree is enhanced by a host of European stakes winners headed by current superstar LORD GLITTERS, winner of the Gr1 Jebel Hatta in Dubai last month, a second Gr1 to go with his Royal Ascot Queen Anne Stakes.
