Description
Addison Reserve is a lovely filly who’s had four career starts to date. She made her debut in town, finishing fifth behind Vangelic who’s a multiple Stakes Race placed filly. Following this, she finished sixth at Canberra when second-up last preparation, but this doesn’t tell the full story. She drew the widest barrier and did plenty of work to go forward and settle just off the speed. She took up the lead rounding the final bend and looked to have the race won as she was still in front with 50 metres to go, but she just got swamped late. Her first-up run this preparation can be forgotten as her rider said she was unsuited by the firm track, and that she will improve on a softer surface where she can get her toe in.
She’s a lovely filly with a wonderful attitude, and she tries incredibly hard in her gallops. Her owner is American based and they’re dispersing their racing stock in Australia, so if she is purchased to continue racing she should be able to keep being competitive in a realistic grade.
