Description
The last of the RIP VAN WINKLES , a CORRECT , WELL GROWN weanling filly.
She is a member of the ever popular BINT MARSCAY / STELLA CADENTE fillies family. Footnote below on the remarkable influence of BINT MARSCAY.
Her dam DONT WORRY is by popular and successful sire SMART MISSILE , sire of 20 SW to date . She was a MM $50,000 weanling. She was placed in a trial , but failed in her only race start won by Gr1 winner EMBELLISH.
Her first foal by Rageese , a 2yo , has been sent to Australia in preparation for export. ( Video 1. ) . Her yearling is by Shamexpress.
RIP VAN WINKLE / DANEHILL cross has been immensely popular producing 19 SW , including winner of the iconic Gr1 PHOENIX STKS , DICK WHIITINGTON .
This season has been well represented by smart fillies GIN MARTINI , fast finishing 3rd in the Gr3 Baillieu Stakes after missing the start , then was finishing stoutly in the Gr1 Champagne Stakes behind CAPIVANT.
SUBPOENAED earlier in the year won the Gr2 Millie Fox S in a strong edition of the race , 3rd placegetter SHE'S IDEEL performed extremely well subsequently incl 2nd behind SIR DRAGONET in the Gr1 TANCRED S.
SUBPOENAED's most recent run in early May was an excellent 2nd in the Gr1 SANGSTER beaten a 1/2 length.
