Description
Surely Shirley is a well-bred mare with an outstanding physique that has not realised her potential on the racetrack. She has performed well over 1400-1500m in maiden company, running an excellent close 2nd last year. In her most recent race, she suffered a suspensory injury and owners have decided to find her a home with someone willing to take the time these injuries deserve, or for use as a very nice broodmare opportunity.
Being by champion 2yo Sepoy, her dam, Shirl Pegasus won $137k on the racetrack, placing 3 times at Listed level, once in a Group 2, and ran 4th in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic over 1500m.
