Broken in at the late Rick Worthington’s Danric Lodge in August/September 2020, Forgiving went into the Warwick Farm stables of the outstanding horseman, Rob Quinn, Robert Quinn Racing, in October 2020. Her initial preparation went smoothly with no issues, and she handled racing stable life with no fuss. She loved her swimming and loves her feed. Good in the barriers, to transport, and shoe.
Forgiving has had a nice break and is ready for her second preparation to take her into a 3YO race campaign. Her owner is a breeder who does not race and has brought this filly on with master horsemen to further her race career. The filly has no issues and is sound. She is a straightforward ride and easy to handle under saddle.
Forgiving has an appealing pedigree. She is bred on a double cross to the Blue Hen mare, Fanfreluche, directly through Rubick’s sire Encosta De Lago and the tail female line of her dam Crying Angel (NZ). This is the family of Newgate Farm’s multiple Group 1 winning sire, Russian Revolution. Rubick of course is the sire of Yes Yes Yes, The Everest winner in 2019.
Mastercraftsman (IRE), dam sire of Forgiving, needs little introduction: a top-class international sire, 78 stakes winners, standing at Coolmore Ireland. He is the sire of the Group winning mares Danzdanzdance, sold at the 2021 Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $475,000, and Maastricht (NZ) sold at the 2019 Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $2,250,000.
To note Forgiving’s grand dam, Angel Dreamer (USA), is by the incomparable Street Cry (IRE) – Winx, Whobegotyou, Trekking, Shocking, Pride of Dubai, Savatiano, Heavens Above, etc.
