Description
7yo mare by the ill-fated Zoffany. The son of Dansili was one of the best two-year-olds of 2010 in Ireland when he won five of his seven races including the Golden Fleece Stakes, Tyros Stakes and Phoenix Stakes-Gr.1. In the following year he failed to win a race but produced a career-best effort to run Frankel to three quarters of a length in the St James’s Palace Stakes-Gr.1 at Royal Ascot.
In the latest season Zoffany was sire of three Group-winning juveniles in the shape of National Stakes-Gr.1 winner Thunder Moon, Naas Juvenile Sprint Stakes-Gr.3 winner and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf-Gr.1 runner-up Mother Earth and Marble Hill Stakes-Gr.3 winner Minaun.
Tribuna was a 2014 Magic Millions weanling entrant and was sold to New Zealand and then returned to Australia where she raced. Her dam Larenco is by Encosta Delago who is the broodmare sire of stakes winners Beneteau, Musir, She's Got Gears and Stokehouse.
Tribuna’s breeding suggests any of her future foals will get over some ground with her family running upto 2000m and beyond. Her three wins varied in distances winning her first race over 1200m in 1.9.60. Her next two victories were over 1460 and placed multiple times over the mile as well as placing at Hawkesbury.
Tribuna is the half sister to the Tracy Bartley trained Miss Redoble and Lauri Parker trained Buzz ‘N’ Joe. Miss Redoble has won in excess of $305,000.00 in prize money. She is a city and provincial winner and place getter and still has plenty left in her career. Buzz ‘N’ Joe who is in the city stable of Lauri Parker is still very early on in his career, he is a beautiful looking gelding who has already accumulated $50,000 in prize money for his owners.
She is a lovely horse and shown she had ability in the amount of time she has been in our clients care and stable. She is quiet and easy to do anything with around the stable and has a wonderful appetite.
Tribuna unfortunately has an old injury to her front near side sesamoid and we do not feel she is suitable for racing as a result. She is not lame and advised has no other issues and might be suitable for other disciplines as she has served her paddock time healing and was in work until the commencement of this week.
Senator Racing clients are continually reviewing their racing portfolio’s to make room for other horses in their systems. Tribuna is offered for genuine sale through no fault of her own and are offering this mare with full disclosure. The mare does not fit the mould of our clients racing interests. There is an abundance of upside amongst our clients horses and is a prime opportunity for buyers to secure a quality broodmare.
