BAREFOOTONTHEGRASS is a lightly raced 3yo filly by SCISSOR KICK out of the PIVOTAL mare PERFECT LYRIC. This filly is from an outstanding international pedigree and will provide plenty of residual value for her new owners.
Her dam PERFECT LYRIC is by PIVOTAL who is an undisputed champion sire and unbelievable broodmare sire influence. PIVOTAL as a broodmare sire has produced 118 stakes winners, including 68 Group winners. Recent superstar daughters of PIVOTAL include Royal Ascot winner LOVE (5x Group 1 wins), freakish mare MAGICAL (7x Group 1 wins), CRACKSMAN and Chris Waller’s local superstar HUNGRY HEART (winner of the Group 1 ATC Oaks and Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes). Having PIVOTAL is a massive bonus and influence.
The grandam of BAREFOOTONTHEGRASS is outstanding filly VALENTINE WALTZ, winner of the Group 1 French 1000 Guineas (and Australian owned). She then went on to produce the stakes winner DYNA WALTZ who is the dam of Group 2 winner THEODORA B.
A truly international pedigree, she is closely related to the outstanding LAST TYCOON, a Group 1 Champion racehorse and Group 1 Champion sire. Her close relations also include American Group 1 winner SENSE OF STYLE who is the dam of French Listed winner ONLY A PLEASURE as well as Singapore Horse of the Year QATAR MAN and local Group winner BRITT’S BEST. BAREFOOTONTHEGRASS has shown promise in her three starts, although pulled up shin sore after her last run. Her trainer Lindsay Smith wants the opportunity to continue training her as he feels she has many wins in store. Her owners have decided she is not stakes class and only aim to race stakes class horses, so there is potential for her to win races and return you purchase price before retiring to stud.
BAREFOOTONTHEGRASS is well muscled, has a strong hind quarter and shoulder, a deep girth and a gorgeous head with a kind eye. She is easy to shoe, float, ride and is lovely to handle around the stables and is accustomed to both the treadmill and swimming pool. She is currently spelling at Makybe.
