Description

"Imperial Dawn" is a beautifully bred mare by "High Chapparal" out of "Crimson Dawn". She is a half to 4-time Group winner "Miss Rose De Lago".

"Crimson Dawn" boasts nine foals to race for 8 winners. The 2nd Dam "Mail the Desert" was a Group 1 winner in Ireland.

"Imperial Dawn" showed plenty of promise early in her career, winning 2 of her first 5 races, including a Metro level win at Ballarat. Two further Metro placings followed including a 0.5l 3rd place at Flemington. She was then struck down with a serious bout of colic that required emergency surgery, which put her out of action for 6 months. After a full recovery from her surgery, she placed in 3 of her next 4 races. But has not been able to break through for a win.

She is sound with no current issues. Her last race was 5th of June. Would suit racing in a lesser grade or would make a wonderful Broodmare.
