5% SHARE IN DALGARNO
Dalgarno is a progressive 3yo gelding who had shown loads of potential early days as a promising stayer in the making. He did perform well in some decent races as an early 3yo as he was trying to earn his way into the VRC Derby. He did fall short of expectations but there is still plenty of promise for him to deliver on his potential.
He is lightly raced only having the 8 starts to date with a couple of placings. He still has his maiden to be broken and we expect that it won’t take him long at all to do that and hopefully build his confidence to continue through the grades.
He has been transferred up to Nathan Doyle at Newcastle where we feel he will be well suited to that environment and well placed in the provincial – mid week metropolitan grade. Nathan is a great young trainer with an incredible winning strike rate. He places his horses well and we are confident Dalgarno will be winning races soon.
He is a sound and well conformed horse with no issues or vices. He is a beautiful animal with a great attitude. It is a great opportunity to get into a young horse that will be back at the races in the near future and still has the potential to go through the grades. He is currently in pre-training and is expected to head into Nathan Doyle’s stables mid-July.
Dalgarno is managed by Import Racing who provide regular communication, updates, audio updates, videos etc. You will be well advised of your horse's progress at all times.
The estimated monthly upkeep for a 5% share averages out to approximately $216. That figure will vary from month to month depending on where the horse is (i.e., in full work, racing, pre-training or spelling).
