Young ENCOSTA DE LAGO broodmare from a great family
We Are Bomber Fans is a placed 8yo broodmare with her whole breeding career ahead of her. She has produced 2 foals to Turffontein, and due to a late foaling last year (a colt born 21/11/20) she was not served. The foaling was normal and the colt is correct and attractive.
Her sire ENCOSTA DE LAGO is both a champion sire & leading broodmare sire. Sire of no less than 115 stakes winners (27 Group 1 winners) including Chautauqua, Sacred Kingdom, Racing To Win, Alinghi etc. As a broodmare sire he is equally impressive with 122 stakes winners (including 16 Group 1 winners). This season alone, ENCOSTA DE LAGO heads the broodmare sire lists with 756 runners, 292 wins, 12 stakes winners and earnings of almost $26 million.
We Ae Bomber Fans is from Alpine Echo who is a sister to S/W PINEZERO. This is the female family of SCHUBERT and further back, the imported RIVER DANE (G3 winner) who is a half sister to PURE OF HEART (Group 1 star). This is a classy family and there is scope for further upside. Half sister, the flyer, Johannapine has produced Brazenpine who was purchased by Triple Crown and has won over $100,000 to date. Johannapine has also produced Vegapine and at stud she produced a stunning black colt by Brazen Beau last Spring, and was covered by him again. We Are Bomber Fans is very good looking, over 16HH and was a $120,000 yearling. No known faults.
