Her dam was placed in the VRC Oaks and her granddam won the NZ Oaks – pedigree!
Lilyfield is a daughter of two-time Champion Broodmare sire Redoute’s Choice, out of the outstanding Zabeel mare Empress Lily, who was multiple Group placed including 3rd in the VRC Oaks.
Lilyfield’s three-part sisters, Itz Lily and Tigress Lily are both metropolitan winners and earners of $400,000 and $150,000 respectively. Tigress Lily has since produced the stakes placed Motown Lil. Lilyfield’s full sister Jaipur Princess, herself metropolitan placed, has also produced a stakes horse in the G3 placed Gayatri, earner of over $279,000.
Her 2nd dam, Tycoon Lil, was Horse of the Year and Champion 3YO in NZ in 1997-98 and a multiple G1 winner in both Australia and New Zealand. She is also the dam of G2 winner and G1 SAJC Oaks 2nd placegetter Estee (Redoute’s Choice), making her a three-part relation to Lilyfield.
With such an active page of closely related fillies and mares, this mare certainly makes an attractive breeding proposition. She is carrying an early cover to the Inglis Millennium and Rosehill Guineas winner Castelvecchio, who’s first foals hit the ground in 2021.
