Description
3yo gelding by Outreach, brilliantly fast, Group performing SON of World Champion 2YO sire EXCEED AND EXCEL, ENORMOUSLY POPULAR; covered over 350 mares in first three seasons, YEARLINGS have sold for up to $180,000 at the 2019 major sales. At only start, STRETCHED Golden Slipper winner VANCOUVER in the Canonbury Stakes Gr.3. FULL BROTHER to Champion 2YO filly and Golden Slipper winner OVERREACH.
Outreach’s three-quarters brother, Reward For Effort is sire of group winner Gold Symphony out of a mare by Nureyev son, Stravinsky, and from Nureyev line mares Exceed and Excel has sired two stakes winners out of mares by Polar Falcon, and another out of a mare by his son, Pivotal (whose son, Captain Rio, is sire of stakes winner Lady Royale from Outreach’s family).
A horse with a world of potential, Outreach ran Champion Two-Year-Old Vancouver – then already a stakes winner – to ¾ length in the Canonbury Stakes (gr. III) on his only start. A brother to Champion Two-Year-Old Filly and Golden Slipper (gr. I) heroine, Overreach, and three-quarters brother to Blue Diamond Stakes (gr. I) winner and exciting young sire, Reward For Effort, Outreach is by Exceed and Excel, the world’s leading sire of two-year-olds.
With the positive features in his sires breeding line Outreach to Henry proves the breeders got this one right, coming up with a 20/20 mating with his dam Cuddly Miss.
Outreach to Henry has recently been gelded and has thrived since the procedure. He is a strong fellow who is genuinely untried. He stands at approx 15'2.
He is a lovely horse and shown he has ability during trackwork, he has the frame just like his father with well-balanced muscles on his body. He has got that light steps in his walk from his grandsire EXCEED AND EXCEL and strength coming out of his hindquarter. He has the quality that tells us that he will develop into a very nice thoroughbred in time. He is currently in full work. He has been extensively educated and has no known soundness issues or vices.
Senator Racing clients are continually reviewing their racing portfolios to make room for other horses in their systems. Outreach to Henry is offered for genuine sale through no fault of his own and are offering this gelding with full disclosure. The gelding no longer fits the mould of our clients racing interests.
