Description
HALOGEN is a stunning 3yo brown, almost black gelding by SEBRING out of SOLAR CHARGED. He stands at 16.1hh and weighs in at 557kg at peak fitness.
HALOGEN is a half-brother to Champion 3yo filly in Australia and phenomenal three-time Group 1 winning (9x time stakes winning) and sprinting superstar SUNLIGHT. This gelding’s immediate family is something to behold!
He is a half-brother to Group 3 winner SISSTAR and DIO who was a $1.1 million yearling for Hawkes Racing in 2020 and has already gone on to place at stakes level. HALOGEN is also a full brother to SHEIKHA who is Group 3 and twice Listed placed.
HALOGEN was stunning yearling who sold for $650,000 indicative of his incredible family and exceptional physique. He is well muscled, has a strong hind quarter and shoulder, a deep girth and a gorgeous head with a kind eye.
HALOGEN is lightly raced, having had just the seven starts. He broke his maiden at his third start at Murray Bridge (30/09/20) and recently he ran third at Pakenham (04/06/21). He is a sound horse and is race fit. He is being sold by his owners to make way for their younger team of horses coming through the ranks.
He is easy to shoe, float, ride and is lovely to handle around the stables and is accustomed to both the treadmill and swimming pool. His last start was the 18th of June, so he is in fantastic condition (the photos we taken 25/06/21) and currently in full training in Ballarat and ready to go on with.
