Description

The weanling filly out of Just A Girl is a half sister to the impressive Cecil Street Lad, the winner of his only start as a 2 year old at Sandown on 14 July 2021.

Cecil Street Lad, trained by Richard Laming, has a great deal of potential and could provide some instant updates to this filly’s pedigree.

She is also a half sister to the promising Nantucket, a 3yo trained by Levi Kavanagh. Nantucket is a winner and has placed second on Melbourne metro tracks 4 times in only 9 starts.

The filly is by Smart Missile, the sire of outstanding fillies Maid Of Heaven (G1W), Smart Melody (G2W) and I’ll Have A Bit (G2W). The filly’s dam, Just A Girl, was a top class race mare, winning 7 races including 6 times on metro tracks. At her final start, Just A Girl was beaten less than 2 lengths by the G1W Griante.

Like her dam (and her broodmare sire) this filly is a neat, strong horse. She moves very well and has a good outlook.
