DIVISSIMA (NZ) is a 2yo winning mare by European Champion 2yo and multiple Group 1 winning sire MASTERCRAFTSMAN (IRE). Mastercraftsman was a dual Group 1 winner as a 2yo, before winning the Group 1 Irish 2,000 Guineas and Group 1 St James’ Palace Stakes as a 3yo. He is the broodmare sire of Australian Champion 3yo filly and dual Group 1 winner LOVING GABY ($2,281,250).
Divissima is out of the 2yo winning SPINNING WORLD (USA) mare HURRICANE MIST (IRE). Hurricane Mist is a half-sister to the multiple Group 1 winner ERUPT and a three-quarter sister to the Group winning sire COMMON WORLD (USA). This is the family of Group 1 VRC Myer Classic winner I AM A STAR ($1,564,300). Divissima has produced 2 living foals, a yearling colt by SEPOY who recently sold for $30,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Gold Yearling Sale and a weanling filly by Manhattan Rain who is being retained by the breeder.
Divissima has been scanned in foal to the Group 1 winning stallion ALABAMA EXPRESS ($554,750). Alabama Express is the son of multiple Champion Sire REDOUTE’S CHOICE. He was a winner at his only start as a 2yo before returning to win the Listed MRC Gothic Stakes as a 3yo. He went on to win the Group 1 MRC C.F. Orr Stakes, defeating 8 individual Group 1 winners, in a race previously won by fellow sires LONHRO, ALL TOO HARD, DISSIDENT etc. Alabama Express’ first foals will arrive in 2021.
