Description
LADY HANDSHAKE is a 5yo mare by multiple Champion Racehorse and 6-time Group 1 winner DUNDEEL (NZ). Dundeel was undefeated through the first five starts of his career, culminating in victory in the Group 1 ATC Spring Champion Stakes. He then went on to win 3 Group 1 races in a row in the following Autumn, those being the ATC Randwick Guineas, ATC Rosehill Guineas and ATC Australian Derby. He finished his racing career with victory in the Group 1 ATC Queen Elizabeth Stakes. He is the sire of 5 individual Group 1 winners, including CASTELVECCHIO, YOURDEEL (NZ), SUPER SETH etc.
Lady Handshake is out of the unraced WANTED mare CREPE SUZETTE. Crepe Suzette is a half-sister to the 5-time winner and Stakes placed BLUE SKY, both being from a half-sister to Group 1 AJC Sires’ Produce winner RHYTHMIC CHARM ($284,618) and the Group 1 placed Stakes winner GREENSTONE CHARM. This is the family of Group 3 winning sire UNIVERSAL RULER ($306,950). Lady Handshake is a half-sister to last season’s 3yo winner LUCKY ENUFF.
Lady Handshake has been scanned in foal to I AM IMMORTAL, the dual Stakes winning son of multiple Champion Sire I AM INVINCIBLE. I Am Immortal was the winner of the Listed MRC Blue Diamond preview (C&G), defeating Champion Australian 2yo MICROPHONE, before winning the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude. I Am Immortal’s first foals will arrive in 2021.
Lady Handshake has a mature cataract on her right eye and an immature cataract on her left eye. She can see out of both eyes and is treated as a normal mare in the paddock.
