Description
Philadora was an excellent racemare winning 4 times with 10 placings and winning over $105,000 in prize money. She won her maiden by six lengths and at her previous start she had a two horse war down the Quirindi straight with the exceptional racemare Luna Mia, losing by a neck on the line.
Her wins can be viewed on Racing NSW with a feature being her finishing burst from last on the turn to swamp the field in the final few metres. Her defeat of Sequana at Scone has to be seen to be believed. Now her racing days are over she can progress to a career as a broodmare. She is approximately 15 hands with an excellent temperament .
She is well conformed and has been thriving on the pasture of Sutton Farm since the beginning of the year. Her dam Sutton Queen was a stakes grade racemare winning nine races including two stakes placings by less than a margin of a neck. Philadora is from Sutton Farm's best family which includes many metropolitan and Stakes grade fillies and mares including her dam, Sutton Review and Sutton Princess (winner of the Wellington Boot). Philadora is a three quarter relation to Sutton Princess. Phildora's two year old half sister by Nicconi sold at last years Classic Yearling Sale for $100,000 to Mick Price Racing and has been entered for the Golden Slipper and is in training for Melbourne's early two year old races. Sutton Queen is currently in foal to All Too Hard so the pedigree has every chance of being upgraded.
