G1 Goldmine Stallion Match - 20/20 Mating
Description
Here we have a very strong, athletic yearling colt by exciting young Group 1 winner, The Mission, whose first crop are due to hit the racetracks later this year. Having won at the highest level as a 2YO there is every chance that the progeny of The Mission will demonstrate the same precocious ability. This colt looks like he could get up and go early.
As a physical specimen this colt is bound to please the eye of even the most discerning thoroughbred expert. He moves well over the ground both at a walk and when galloping around the paddock. He has a very intelligent demeanour and a great temperament. He has been well handled to date and if attitude and correct confirmation count for anything then he is sure to be a success.
The dam, Hull City, was an exceptionally talented racehorse who won a total of five races with four of these wins being in Metropolitan events. She won two races as a two year old. The mare is half sister to another 2YO winner, Light Shine, a black-type performer who ran second in the Group 3, SAJC Sires Produce. This also the family of Black Type winners NICK ON THE RUN, PARAPARAP, POWER AND GLORY, SWELL TIME GIRL, SECOND TIME LUCKY et al.
This Hull City yearling colt is a half-brother to Millward (by Al Maher), perhaps Queensland’s best performed maiden galloper having unluckily run second at his last three starts in June and July of this year (Eagle Farm, Ipswich and Doomben). He is in the all powerful Chris Munce Racing stable and Chris has big plans this fellow as he enters his 3YO racing year. The mare’s recently turned 2YO colt by Better Than Ready is also with Chris Munce and has already shown considerable promise at this very early stage.
