Description
ITALIAN PRINCESS is a well conformed, good type of mare who will throw a decent foal when you choose to breed from her. She is by the outstanding young stallion ZOUSTAR from a GALILEO mare. Her mother a half sister to FOLLOW GOLD the dam of DRIEFONTEIN who was a Magic Millions winner at 2 and trained on to win the Group 1 Sangster Stakes. A great running family full of black type.
She does have a minor knee issue that she has carried when she joined our stable over 3 months ago. She can continue to train but the knee does require management and she will likely appreciate moving to a smaller stable that has the time to take their time and be patient with her.
Her first run in the Northern Rivers was a good effort to win. Her second she got back a touch too far and had some trouble in traffic late but raced well and last start she raced on a track that was very firm and favored leaders and the winner on that day was decisive and won by a good margin and this mare was only beaten a couple of lengths by the second horse.
ITALIAN PRINCESS is a very easy ride with any of the stable staff easily able to work her of a morning and she has an easy going and helpful temperament around the stable.
