Description
Dashing Statement is a well-bred 4YO gelding by Press Statement who is unplaced in four career starts to date. He won a trial in good style earlier this preparation, but his current connections feel he would be better placed in a provincial/country training environment and would also benefit from a step up in distance. Dashing Statement is a half-brother to the multiple Group 1-placed mare SHEEZDASHING, who finished runner-up and third in the Schweppes Oaks (2000m) and Queensland Oaks (2200m) respectively.
Dashing Statement underwent tie-back surgery on 1 March 2021 and has since raced on three occasions, with his trainer Peter Snowden commenting after his most recent race that “he is breathing well enough and that is not stopping him.” Please see the attached vet report for full disclosure.
This horse is sold under the general rules of public auction. The vendor makes no representation to the current or future soundness of this horse and all veterinary records remain the property of the Syndicate managed by Triple Crown Bloodstock Pty Ltd. The horse is available for inspection and vetting at Muskoka Farm Pty Ltd (where he is currently spelling) prior to its auction.
