Description

Rich Pickings is a daughter of I Am Invincible, the champion stallion whose stud fee this year has risen past $200,000 and who has shown a remarkable ability to upgrade his mares.

She showed great speed in her handful of race starts a 2 -year-old for trainer Paul Perry, leading all the way in her one win over 900 metres. This young mare has already produced two excellent colts by Press Statement , and is now being offered in foal to exciting Newgate Farm stallion in Winning Rupert.

As this racing season draws to a close, Winning Rupert has had 11 , 2- year-old winners, at a remarkable rate of 39.3% winners to runners.

Winning Rupert himself was the winner of 5 races from only 6 race starts and set two track records.

Rich pickings has a pedigree filled with stakes winners in Western Australia and is closely related to recent Randwick winner Liberty Sun. With a cross of Written Tycoon and I Am Invincible, the foal being carried by this mare is bred not only to be very fast with 2-year-old speed, but also to be very tough.
