Description
Found Our Thrill is the first foal out of the Group Two winning mare Blueberry Hill. A very fast and precocious two-year-old, Blueberry Hill won her first two starts. She then went on to win a Group Two and place in a further two Group races that same campaign. The talented mare then came back as three-year-old to take out a listed race in dominant fashion. Hailing from the family of Group One Victoria Derby winner Rebel Raider, this mare’s pedigree boasts Stakes horses throughout.
Found Our Thrill was precocious enough as a two-year-old to have two runs before Christmas, including when fifth at Rosehill behind the likes of Aim, Blondeau and King’s Legacy which, with the benefit of hindsight, looks like strong form.
She was then unsuited by the heavy track when seventh at Canterbury, and she then developed a knee chip which resulted in her having surgery (see attached report) and being off the track for more than a year.
Nonetheless, she returned with a gutsy win at Casterton in July before then taking the step up to city-grade in her stride when second at Sandown behind the well-regarded Quintello. She then disappointed at Sandown and Kensington, and the decision has been taken to sell her given that the breeding season is upon us and she may appeal to studs and breeders alike .
