Description
3 Starts for 3 duck eggs this preparation doesn’t read well, but this son of STREET BOSS deserves consideration.
We have learnt the hard way, through our hip pockets that he despises wet tracks, and being up in the middle of winter and it had been a particularly wet one in 2021, was a disaster for Gumnuts.
Gumnuts resented the chopped up Soft track first up, he was horribly ridden second up (still trying to get out) and third up he failed to see out the 1300m in a very strong Scone race. You only need to go back to his form last preparation to see Gumnuts can really gallop on his day.
However, our team have lost patience with him. He is a summer galloper, on top of the ground, and is more than capable of winning races at that time of year, however we are not prepared to give him another spell and start over again for a horse that will not be measuring up to Sydney metro grade.
The time has come to say goodbye to a horse that has shown ability but is exceptionally frustrating.
The one time things went right for Gumnuts, he bolted in by 4.47 lengths as an opening $1.65 favourite at Tamworth.
This is a horse that would suit an area with a drier climate. He would be ideal for country grade up north where he can get those dry tracks. He has plenty of natural speed and can easily handle tight turning tracks.
The time has come to say thanks for the memories, and we trust soon, we will be watching him enter the winner’s circle for his new owners.
We have given his new buyer the keys to him – dry tracks and keep to the sprints. The rest is up to your ability to place him to advantage. A short break now and back in work you’ll have a lot of fun in the right grade between November to February or alternatively push on if you can take him to where he will have confidence on firm ground.
A current vet certificate is supplied, as per the terms of sale, potential buyers should make their own enquiries and an independent vet inspection is always recommended.
As with all Dynamic Syndications horses he is being offered unreserved to dissolve the partnership.
