"MAC KALHOUN" is a STUNNING 3YO Colt by champion Melbourne & Australian Cup Winner & Leading NZ Sire "SHOCKING". This colt hails from a super pedigree, littered with proven Black Types Performers, his well performed dam is the Half Sister to CORDERO & MESSENE and her Grand Dam is LADY GISELLE, the Dam of ZABEEL & BARYSHNIKOV to name just a few.
MAC is being trained by Michael Kent Snr. at Cranbourne and is being set for the Autumn Derby's - specifically TAS, NSW, SA & QLD. Following his 3YO season, we will be going after the staying Classics, Caulfield, Melbourne & Australian Cup and possibly a Sydney Campaign.
MAC is a magnificent specimen, who has been given plenty of time to mature and develop and has lived a fantastic life in NZ, prior to coming to Australia. He has been broken in and had an initial preparation and is currently out having a short break and is set to return to work Next Week. We are keen to keep MAC a Colt given his pedigree page, subject of course to performance. He has demonstrated a lovely temperament as you will see in the video's and we know he can run, given what he has showed in his initial prep and his times. Mick provides an excellent insight into the horse. He is a big powerful unit, great head carriage and a long economical stride. There is a Private Ownership Agreement in place for MAC KALHOUN, which you will need to execute as part of taking over this share and the Horse is insured for Mortality and Life Saving "Surgery & Treatment" Extensions to protect your investment.
Don't wait to buy into a Yearling in the New Year and then wait another 12-18 months to know if you will even have a horse which will be competitive. All the work and management has been done and MAC will be racing early in the new year. Rarely is there an opportunity to get on board at this stage of the process.
