Description
RIVALDO is a horse we have had an opinion of from his early preparations but he is not delivering his work on race days .which we believe is just a lack of maturity at this time. He is nice and sound and we think with time has a future for someone.
We were encouraged by the way he got to the line late at his first start on a track that proved to be a good advantage to be forward at his first start and we looked forward to him improving off that. His second start he was only fair and we thought perhaps he was looking for further. Stepped up to 1400m at his most recent start at Warwick Farm he looked to be going to run a good race with 250m left to go and weakened late whether that was the ground or he is simply not physically ready to do what he needs to we're not sure but the ownership group have decided to move him on at this time.
RIVALDO is 16 hands and easy to do anything with and is no trouble in & around the stable. He floats well and has experience on smaller floats going to the beach and doing other things. He is better with an experienced rider as he isn't as relaxed and settled as he could be but hopefully that too will come with maturity.
He was turned out after this run and with lots of hard work and time given to him already he presents an opportunity for someone in a weaker racing area to take the benefit.
