Description
This yearling filly is by the Australian Champion 3yo Colt and dual hemisphere Group 1 winning sire SO YOU THINK (NZ). So You Think was twice the winner of the Group 1 W.S. Cox Plate as well as winning at the highest level a further eight times in Australia, the UK and Ireland. He is the sire of 7 individual Group 1 winners, including the Group 1 winning fillies NAKEETA JANE ($625,300), SOPRESSA ($703,970), LA DIOSA (NZ) etc. He currently has over 66% winners to runners and his yearlings sold for up to $1,000,000 this year.
This filly is out of the multiple metro placed STRATUM mare EMERGE. Emerge is a half-sister to the dam of Singapore Champion 2yo BE BEE, the dam of Group 2 winner ÉCLAIR CHOICE and the dam of Group 3 winner WINTER BURST. This is the family of South African Group 1 winner VERNICHEY. So You Think is currently at 60% winners to runners when crossed with Stratum mares.
This filly’s grand-dam is the Australian Champion 2yo and multiple Group 1 winning MARAUDING (NZ) mare BURST. Burst won the 2yo Triple Crown in 1992, taking out the Group 1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes, Group 1 AJC Champagne Stakes and Group 1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes. She was placed a further five times at Group 1 level throughout her career.
This filly is a full sister to GOOD OMENS, who sold for $360,000 at the 2019 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and is now in the stable of leading trainer Chris Waller. Good Omens was metro placed on her debut before winning over 1500m in April 2021.
On 1st November 2021, this filly weighed 441kg and stood 152cm tall.
