Description
STREAMLINE PEARL is a 6yo mare by the outstanding sire PIERRO out of the Hard Spun mare RIVER VIXEN.
STREAMLINE PEARL is by PIERRO, who is one of Australia’s best stallions having been titled Champion First, Second and Third season sire and is now standing at $110,000. To date he has 25 individual stakes winners, equating to 6.2% stakes winners to runners, which includes G1 superstars ARCADIA QUEEN, SHADOW HERO, REGAL POWER, LEVENDI and PINOT.
STREAMLINE PEARL is a quality mare with a great hindquarter, strong shoulder and forearm with a deep girth. She has had two foals to date, a DEEP FIELD and a RUBICK and is now in foal to exciting first season sire DIRTY WORK on an early September cover (DLS: 6/9/21) from just the one mating.
DIRTY WORK was a stunning yearling, having been sold to Spendthrift for $800,000. He was a scintillating sprinter, having had 5 wins and 10 placings including breaking the track record in his Kensington Maiden, before going on to take out the G2 Schillaci Stakes at Caulfield, where he defeated four-time G1 winner Hey Doc. He placed third in the G1 Manikato Stakes beating home G1 winners Pippie and Bella Vella, placed 4th in the G1 Goodwood and placed in the G3 Concorde Stakes just 1.5L behind the emphatic G1 winners Nature Strip and Gytrash.
A son of Champion Stallion WRITTEN TYCOON, he has been very well supported in the breeding barn this season. Sons of WRITTEN TYCOON are doing sensational job at stud and include the boom sire CAPITALIST and stakes sires RICH ENUFF and WINNING RUPERT.
This is one of David Moodie’s best families, STREAMLINE PEARL’s dam RIVER VIXEN is a half-sister to the stakes winning CROSS CURRENT who also placed fourth in both the G1 MRC Oakleigh Plate and G1 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes, as well as Speedboat (the dam of CAPTIVANT) and Riptide (the dam of CROWN PROSECUTOR) who is also now in foal to DIRTY WORK this season. RIVER VIXEN also has a 2yo Winning Rupert named RIVER NOIRE who is in training with Peter Moody.
The family has had a significant recent boost with CAPTIVANT (Capitalist) winning the G1 ATC Champagne Stakes, and his second placing in the G1 MRC Caulfield Guineas and third in the ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
The family also includes CROWN PROSECUTOR (Medaglia d’Oro) who was titled Second Leading New Zealand 3yo Male in the International Ratings having won the G1 New Zealand Derby and G3 Wellington Stakes. As well as RIPPER RITA (Street Boss) who placed third in the G1 SAJC Australasian Oaks.
STREAMLINE PEARL descends from the wonderful mare RIDE THE RAPIDS and includes the likes of Oakleigh Plate winner RIVER DOVE, Silver Slipper winner HEADWATER, as well as KULGRINDA, RIVER DELTA, RIVER NIGHT, ONE WORLD, FIRST COMMAND and MCLAREN. This pedigree has plenty of upside and will only continue to grow, with mares having been covered by HELLBENT, RICH ENUFF, FROSTED, DIRTY WORK, FARNAN AND CAPITALIST.
