2yo Flying Artie gelding from a Choisir mare ready to start a racing prep.
We held this boy back from yearling sales as he needed more time to mature, so he was gelded September 2020 and put back out to develop.
He went to Aaron Moyes at Berrima for his breaking in and Aaron was very taken with his balance and athleticism. After a nice spell to grow some more he went back to Aaron in early September this year for pre-training and to get all the vet checks for a sale. He passed everything except x-rays found a troublesome stifle OCD which needed surgery. A less significant one on the other side was also notices so we decided to have both fixed and let him do his recovery back at home.
Surgery was uneventful and he was given a good prognosis to race. His recovery at home was also uneventful and he was able to rotate through a number of small grassy yards rather than being locked up all day and night so kept his sanity. He has been out in the big paddock with the other geldings and showing no ill-effects. He has now come back in at night to keep his yearling sister company while she is prepared for Classic. He is very sweet and showing her the ropes.

This is a beautiful natured gelding. Nothing has ever fazed him and we would love to keep him and race him, but can’t do him justice from here and finances prohibit having him trained elsewhere.
He is 15.3 HH, good bodied and correct, and still has some growing to do, has been well cared for and handled all his life, and is going to make someone a lovely racehorse.
