Description
Nicely grown, long yearling by 2nd season sire XTRAVAGANT. Sire is a 2 year old winning horse from New Zealand who was champion 3 year old of his year, winning the GRP 1 NZ 2000 Guineas (1600), GRP 1 NRM Sprint (1400), GRP 3 Inglis Cambridge Breeders Stakes (1200) and placing 4th in the GRP 1 Levin Classic (1600).
XTRAVAGANT has 2 crops of racing age and his current crop of 3 year olds have had a breakout year, with HE'S XCEPTIONAL winning the LISTED MCMAHONS DAIRY MCKENZIE STAKES, Devoted placing 3rd in the WA GUINEAS (GRP 2) and Lavish Girl also placing 3rd in the TOBIN BROS TWILIGHT GLOW STAKES (Listed. He currently sits 10th on the 2nd season sires list for prizemoney and 6th for winners to runners. This all form his first crop only.
The dam, Sweet Ransom is a winner of 4 races and placed 2nd as a 2 year old in the Listed AJC KEITH MACKAY STAKES and 4th in the GRP 3 SWEET EMBRACE STAKES. She has had 8 winners from 10 runners and has produced 2 stakesplaced horses herself in Sugarpama (3rd Toowoomba TC Dalrello Stakes Listed) and Collect (3rd ATC GRP 3 Skyline Stakes and 4th ATC GRP 2 Silver Slipper Stakes). She has a 3 year old and 2 year old by XTRAVAGANT in Western Australia to represent the family as yet.
This is a nicely put together colt that will continue to improve and is now available to the discerning buyer. He is in a small paddock undergoing a short sale prep and is currently rugged.
