This 3-in-1 package offers astute breeders a quality combination of closely related, contemporary black type in the pedigree, as well as outstanding type in the mare herself and the quality of progeny she leaves on the ground.
Miss Severina is by Foxwedge who has proven himself to be the producer of top class race mares but more recently has also started to prove himself as a leading broodmare sire, having sired the dams of stakes winner Diabolic and stakes performer McManaman to date.
Her dam, Brave Choice is a winner herself and half sister to 2 stakes performers, she has produced 9 foals to race for 6 winners including Group 2 winner and multiple Group perfomed Brave Song.
The filly foal at foot in this package is by Your Song making her a three quarter relation to above mentioned blacktype winner of 7 races. During the 2021 sale season, yearlings by Your Song have sold up to $170,000 for a colt at the Inglis Classic sale. His fillies have reached $100,000 in the sale ring this year also. Miss Exfactor who was a Group 3 winner for Your Song sold for $380,000 in foal to Pierata at the 2021 edition of the Inglis Chairmans sale showing that there is great value in his breeding stock as well.
Miss Severina is currently carrying a positive pregnancy again to Your Song on an early October cover, which should provide the purchaser with another three quarter relation to Brave Song on the ground early in the 2022 season.
Miss Severina is a good style of mare who is quiet to handle and do anything with and she is also easy to get in foal. She has great size, length and substance and these are all qualities that she throws into her progeny. As you can see in the photos the filly is well developed with good bone, a muscular shoulder, long forearm with a short cannon and great size and strength through her hip and hindquarter. Everything a buyer would be looking for.
