Description
Tamtheel stands 16HH. She is a correct, compact, well boned mare. She produces good types of foals, with few if any confirmation issues. There are no issues with farrier, drench or vetting nor getting her in foal.
Tamtheel has had five named foals, for three winners at sprinting distances and one with placings. She has an unraced 2yo by FROSTED (USA), currently spelling having completed his first racing preparation. She also has a yearling by WARHORSE (NZ).
She is a half sister to SENSE OF OCCASION (by Street Sense (USA)), winner of the G1 BRC Doomben Cup.
Her dam sire, FLYING SPUR is currently 2nd on the 2021-2022 Broodmare Sires list for Black Type races being the broodmare sire of 10 Black Type winners including G1 winner HOME AFFAIRS, winner of the G1 Coolmore Club Stakes. FLYING SPUR has already had 2 more black type winners than his total for the 2020-2021 season, so a broodmare sire on the up. His winners to runners ratio as a broodmare sire is up over 26%, only eclipsed by the likes of REDOUTE'S CHOICE, ENCOSTA DE LAGO and ZABEEL (NZ). Very elite company indeed.
The foal at foot is by NATIONAL DEFENSE (GB), Invincible Spirit’s highest rated 2YO at stud in Victoria. His debut run was a win by 6L while also winning a 2YO Gr.1 by 4.5L in race record time. He was champion 2YO of France (Timeform 118) and second on the European 2YO Colts Classification. The first crop of NATIONAL DEFENSE (GB) in the Northern Hemisphere has produced a stakes winner in France and placegetter at Royal Ascot among his many winners.
