A very attractive daughter of Champion racehorse and leading sire LONHRO, out of the winning Redoute's Choice mare Diamond Solitaire, daughter of multiple Stakes Place-getter including 3rd the the Group 1 Sire's Produce Stakes LOVE AND KISSES who in turn is the daughter of multiple Group winner FAIR EMBRACE.
Sotirio is being offered as a breeding prospect ONLY due to soundness issues with her back. Measured at 15.2hh.
Sotirio is a winner and twice placed from a limited 10 start career. She had plenty of speed and broke her maiden as an Autumn 3yo by 4.75L.
She has suffered from a progressive case of kissing spine in her back over the last preparation which has hindered her from performing at her best and recent advice from the stable vet and trainer recommended her to be retired to the breeding barn. The time between now and August will give Sotirio a good break from racing to let down in condition and relax into the next phase of her life.
Sotirio was a $110,000 Magic Millions Book 1 yearling and is an attractive, neat physical type very typical of her sire Lonhro. Diamond Solitaire has a 5yo with Gillian Heinreich called Beauregard who is twice placed from only 7 starts and still in training while she has a 2yo colt by I Am Invincible on the ground and was bred back to I Am Invincible in 2021.
A speedy, winning daughter of top Broodmare sire Lonhro, Sotirio will make a nice breeding proposition for next season.
