Description
SALISBURY ROAD is out of winning DANEHILL mare TRESILLIAN who is a three-quarter sister to the stakes winning MINSTREL COURT. MINSTREL COURT won the Listed RC Slipper Stakes in New Zealand and placed in both the G1 New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas and the G1 Levin Classic for David Ellis of Te Akau Racing.
SALISBURY ROAD is a half-sister to the stakes placed TOPAQUE who was a 2yo winner and went on to place third in the Listed SAJC Queen Adelaide Stakes. She is also a half-sister to the six-time winning gelding TURN OF FAITH and a full sister to the dual winning AMERICAN XPRESSX.
The family also includes the ten-time winning NEWQUAY – JOHNSON who won the G2 AJC Up and Coming Stakes, as well as stakes winner CIVIL LIST, LANDS END – GIBSON, American stakes winner QUEEN OF CORNWALL as well Top Filly on the Australasian 3yo Classification in that of GOLD EDITION who won an incredible 17 starts and earning over $3 million in prizemoney. GOLD EDITION’s wins include the G1 VRC Ascot Vale Stakes, G1 MVRC Manikato Stakes, G2 AJC Surround Stakes, G2 Light Fingers Stakes and G2 MRC Schillaci Stakes as well as a further seven stakes wins.
SALISBURY ROAD is by ALL AMERICAN who was a high class 2yo being a stakes winner before Christmas and a G3 AJC Skyline Stakes before running second in the Blue Diamond and a bold 5th in the Golden Slipper. ALL AMERICAN showed real durability, training on until a 4YO. Following four Stakes placings including a 3rd in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, he was dominant in victory of the Group 1 Emirates Stakes, defeating So You Think. ALL AMERICAN has 57% winners to runners including six stakes winners such as G1 star YANKEE ROSE and G1 Queensland Derby winner DARK DREAM.
