Description
BLEND is a 3yo bay gelding by DELAGO DELUXE out of the MARAUDING mare CABERNET QUEEN. In his last preparation BLEND showed some ability having won a jump out in October (click here to view his jump out win: https://www.racing.com/form/2021-10-07/murtoa-jumpout/heat/2#/results ) before having his first career start and pulled up a bit shin sore so has been spelling since November last year.
The decision has since been made by his owners to be sold to make way for their new stock, so he still has every opportunity to break his maiden and move up through the grades in the right hands.
BLEND hails from a robust Australian family with his dam CABERNET QUEEN being a half-sister to BARROSA BOY who was crowned joint second on the Australasian 4yo Classification and won an incredible 23 career starts, including an astounding 10 stakes races such as the G1 BATC Doomben Ten Thousand, the G2 Robins Kitchen Cup, the G2 (which is now classed as a G1) WATC Winterbottom Stakes and the G3 Hyperion Stakes amongst others.
BLEND is a half brother to the eight-time winning and triple stakes winning MEGA STEEL as well as the stakes-placed LIFE IS A CABERNET and MIKUNI.
He is being sold as a racing proposition unreserved. With just the one start to his name, he will provide his new owners a great thrill with a maiden win and beyond!
