This September-born colt is the 2nd foal (and 2nd colt) from former $100k Sydney Easter Yearling buy Pluma, a daughter of Animal Kingdom, winner of the Kentucky Derby & Dubai World Cup. Pluma was placed at 1100m as a Spring 3yo before injury curtailed her career after just 3 starts. Her dam Love Wings – one of whose yearlings sold for $850k at Sydney Easter - is a Grand Slam half-sister to Canadian Champion & Horse of the Year Soaring High (15 wins) and is from the same immediate family as other G1 winners Next Shares, Celio Rufo, St. Vincent & Rossard.
Sire Scissor Kick is a stunning-looking multiple Group-winning son of the immortal Redoute’s Choice. He has already sired 46 winners to date including the Group-placed Dzsenifer and SP juvenile Hasstobemagic. Last year Scissor Kick’s yearlings averaged over $40k at auction.
