Description
This lovely athletic young mare will be a fantastic addition to the breeding barn.
By leading sire Headwater out of a Al Maher mare, Money In My Pocket was a steal in the 2019 Magic Millions sale due to a minor bone chip. Renowned Bloodstock agent Jeremy Rogers selected Money In My Pocket
In only her second start she was a convincing winner at Ballarat by 1.5 Lengths before blowing away a BM64 field including future Stakes Winner No Restriction at her 3rd start . Astute judge Matt Welsh tweeted "That's a promising filly, Money in My Pocket". Coming from last, Money In My Pocket was discussed as a Sectional Star following this run on Racing.Com.
Which was to be her final race, Money In My Pocket drew on the worst part of the track at Moonee Valley in the Group 3 Champagne Stakes. Although hindered by the inside draw, the filly ran a quality 4th to Swats That.
Unfortunately, she sustained a leg injury when training for her next preparation and although this has been treated and healed, the owners have decided to sell as the long layoff has not allowed her to physically be ready for another preparation.
