Description
Spread the Word was not bred in 2021 due solely to her late foaling date (22 November). The mare is being sold as we feel the family is adequately represented in our small broodmare band as we own both a daughter and half-sister. (We retained Newsletter (Sebring) her first filly foal (now a 2yo) which is currently spelling after completing a full pre- training prep.
Her 2020 filly foal by Epaulette will be offered at Magic Millions QTIS Sale in March. Seaspeak, her 2019 half-sister by Merchant Navy will be bred in the 2022 season.
Spread the Word is from G2 winner, Only Words and is a half sister to Holy Snow and Chat. Her family is very active and is a “solid black-type” family.
Better Than Ready is the leading sire of 2yo’s by Winners and his stakes winners include Apache Chase, Alpine Edge and The Odyssey. His weanlings have sold up to $72,000 (colts) and $60,000 (fillies); yearlings up to $300,000 (colts) and $320,000 (fillies).
