Description
High Quality Unraced 2yo Pariah filly
This unraced Pariah filly out of an Encosta De Lago mare represents an exceptional opportunity to purchase a very sound and athletic filly where all the work is done.
She is well educated, good to ride, shoe and handle, and has had teeth done on multiple occasions.
After being broken in Shania El continued into full work where she has impressed from both a performance perspective and with her ability to handle an increasing workload.
She is good in the tie-ups, has been extensively educated in the barriers, and is equally adept at working on her own or with other horses.
Her prep culminated in a recent jump out where she performed extremely well but pulled up with some shin soreness, which has prevented her from trialling this time around.
The filly stands approx. 16h and will continue to develop and strengthen, assisted by her exceptional appetite and strong constitution.
Her sire Pariah averaged $140k in 2022 at both the Classic and MM sales, and will continue to be popular if he keeps producing first crop winners such as Latvian who impressively won a 2yo at Moonee Valley earlier this month.
Shania El has a deep pedigree that also provides for great residual broodmare value at a later stage. Her dam Mothwing sold for $1,250,000 as an Easter yearling and is already a proven producer. Mothwing’s Capitalist colt sold for $160,000 at the 2020 Ready 2 Race sale. Her second dam Subterfuge has produced Shania Dane, Schintillation, Risk Aversion and Danevade (dam of Northwest Passage).
This is very genuine but regrettable sale due to other unplanned commitments.
This filly is very sound with no history of illness and inspections and / or vet checks / scoping prior to sale are welcome by appointment.
