Description
Maiden mare by a hot young stallion in CAPITALIST.
ELEGANT BOOM was a Magic Millions Gold Coast purchase for the Wylie Dalziel syndicate and raced her career with Phil Stokes. She showed promise as an early 2yo and was raced in metropolitan races but then struggled with injuries and was retired during last year’s breeding season after suffering a tendon injury. She was sent to Rosemont Stud’s young stallion STRASBOURG late in the season and is selling in foal for the first time.
Strasbourg has received an outstanding reception from breeders since going to stud. A $750,000 yearling son of I AM INVINCIBLE, he was a Gr 2 winner at 2 and has covered books of 109 mares in each of his first two seasons at stud. He promises to be a hit in the sales ring with his weanlings and yearlings.
ELEGANT BOOM has an impressive pedigree being not only by the outstanding 2yo Golden Slipper winner in CAPITALIST, but out of quality Irish mare MADAME TROP VITE, winner of the Gr 2 Flying Childers Stakes over 1000m for 2yos at Doncaster in England. Imported to Australia, she has thrown the stakes winning sprinter SPENDING TO WIN and the pedigree overall boasts a lot of early speed.
